Colorado Rockies and New York Yankees Ownership Changes

The Doubleday Baseball League announces that the Colorado Rockies and New York Yankees have officially lost their long-time owners. Burq (Rockies) and Stainer (Yankees) have been valued members of the league for many years, and it is unfortunate that they will no longer be running their respective teams.

Due to time constraints and the inability to remain active in league operations, a decision was made to remove them as owners and allow new ownership to step in. This change is intended to ensure that each franchise has the engagement and leadership necessary to remain competitive and active within the DBL.

The league extends its sincere thanks to both Burq and Stainer for their dedication, contributions, and the countless hours they’ve invested over the years. It will not be the same without them, and if they ever wish to return, there will always be a place for them in the DBL.

Potential new owners for both franchises have already been identified, and the league will begin negotiations with them in the near future. More updates on the ownership transition will be shared soon.
