The Doubleday Baseball League is proud to announce the Players of the Week for the period ending June 2, 1996.

Federal League – Mark Grace (Chicago Cubs)
First baseman Mark Grace delivered a remarkable week at the plate, earning Federal League Player of the Week honors. The 31-year-old batted .647 (11-for-17) with 2 home runs and 9 RBIs across 4 games, showcasing his ability to ignite the Cubs’ offense. For the season, Grace is hitting .286 with 3 home runs, 20 RBIs, and 11 runs scored in 45 games.

United League – Paul O’Neill (Seattle Pilots)
Veteran outfielder Paul O’Neill powered his way to United League Player of the Week recognition with a dominant performance. The 33-year-old slugged .440 (11-for-25) while adding 5 home runs, 10 RBIs, and 8 runs scored over the week. O’Neill’s season totals now include a .270 batting average, 13 home runs, 27 RBIs, 39 runs scored, and a .360 on-base percentage.
