Adjustment to July Simulation Schedule and Trade Deadline

The Doubleday Baseball League today announced an update to the previously released July simulation schedule. Following the additional simulation conducted on Saturday, October 4, the league has adjusted the remaining simulation dates and trade deadline timing for the conclusion of the 1996 regular-season trading period.

Revised Simulation Schedule

  • October 8 – July 15–18 (All-Star Game)
  • October 9 – July 19–21 (3 games)
  • October 10 – July 22–23 (2 games)
  • October 13 – July 24–25 (2 games)
  • October 14 – July 26–27 (2 games)
  • October 15 – July 28–29 (2 games)
  • October 16 – July 30–31 (2 games)
  • October 17Trade Deadline (No Simulation)

The 1996 trade deadline will now take place on Friday, October 17, at 1:00 p.m. Pacific / 2:00 p.m. Mountain / 3:00 p.m. Central / 4:00 p.m. Eastern. No simulation will occur on this date, allowing clubs additional time to finalize trade discussions and complete any outstanding transactions before the deadline.

As a reminder, the trade deadline represents the final opportunity for teams to execute player trades for the 1996 season. Once the deadline passes, rosters will be locked, and no further trades will be permitted.
