The Office of the Commissioner of the Doubleday Baseball League today announced that the St. Louis Cardinals have secured a Wild Card berth in the Federal League playoffs for the 1996 season.

After narrowly missing the postseason last year, the Cardinals have bounced back to reclaim a playoff spot. This marks the franchise’s 15th postseason appearance since joining the league in 1976.

With a deep and experienced roster, St. Louis once again positions itself among the Federal League’s elite as they prepare to contend for another championship run.
