The Toronto Blue Jays have officially announced a major organizational shift regarding their AAA affiliate. Beginning with the upcoming season, the club will relocate its affiliate from the Southeast region to Bluff City.

With the move comes a full rebranding:
The team will no longer operate under the Southeast Slammers identity.
Instead, the franchise will take the field as the Bluff City Beasties.

Bluff City brings a fresh atmosphere and a strong baseball community, making it an ideal home for the next chapter of the organization’s player development pipeline. The Beasties branding reflects the energy, grit, and competitive edge the franchise aims to bring into this new era.

The league welcomes the Bluff City Beasties and looks forward to seeing the Blue Jays’ prospects take on their new identity in 1997 and beyond.
