The Milwaukee Creams bested the Minnesota Twins, 9-7, at Milwaukee County Stadium. Ken Caminiti was named player of the game. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Reliever Wally Whitehurst picked up the win. His record improves to 2-6. Carlos Almanzar took the loss. The Creams saw their win-loss record go to 50-36. At the same time, the Twins fell to 36-48.

Milwaukee took a 9-7 lead on John Elway's 27th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Elway hit in the bottom of the ninth, left Minnesota pitcher Carlos Almanzar visibly frustrated.

"This place was jumping at the end," Elway said.
