The Milwaukee Creams bested the New York Yankees, 5-4, at Milwaukee County Stadium. John Elway was named player of the game. He went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Milwaukee starter Mark Portugal was credited with the win after throwing 93 pitches over 5.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. Getting the save was Steve Bedrosian, his 2nd.
