Blue Jays Bang Out 12-2 Win Versus Detroit
The Toronto Blue Jays and starting pitcher Frank Wills stifled the Detroit offense en route to a comfortable 12-2 win at SkyDome. In 5.1 innings, Wills surrendered no hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Kirk McCaskill was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities.

Toronto catcher Darren Daulton helped the Blue Jays to the win. In the bottom of the fourth inning, the former first round draft pick stroked a grand slam home run. For the game, Daulton was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Daulton told the Toronto Chronicle.

The Blue Jays now own a record of 43-43.
