Knights Stumble, Lose to Creams
Getting a good performance from third baseman Chipper Jones, the Milwaukee Creams defeated the Charlotte Knights, 8-1. Jones was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs for the Creams. Milwaukee has now won 3 in a row.

The Creams beat the Knights in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Brad Ausmus produced in the top of the second. Batting against Charlotte pitcher Kevin Tapani, Ausmus gave his team a 1-0 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Creams manager Sean Norman, "I like our chances."
