Diamondbacks Win at Detroit, 5-3
|
Benefiting from Mike Greenwell's productive game, the Arizona Diamondbacks downed the Detroit Tigers, 5-3. Greenwell went 2-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Diamondbacks. Arizona, now 4-6, is off to a slow start.
In the top of the first, Greenwell pounced on a 1-0 curveball from Steve Trachsel and hit a 2-run home run. It put Arizona on top, 2-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Greenwell told the Arizona Herald.
