Gooden KOs Pilots
|
It was a fun time at Memorial Stadium, where the Seattle Pilots and Baltimore Orioles tangled.
The Baltimore Orioles got a strong performance from pitcher Dwight Gooden, who stymied the Seattle offense en route to a 5-1 win at Memorial Stadium. With their winning streak at 4, the Orioles have raced to a strong start this season.
Gooden, who led the UL in wins with 18 in 1984, pitched a complete game for Baltimore. Gooden surrendered 7 hits over 9 innings and struck out 10. With the win, he moves to 1-1 on the season.
"Everything felt in sync," said Gooden.
