Athletics Stumble, Lose to Padres
A 4-RBI performance from the former first round draft pick Manny Ramirez helped the San Diego Padres beat the Oakland Athletics, 10-3. After today's action, San Diego sits at 41-48, while Oakland falls to 40-48.

Tied up with the Athletics in the top of the fourth inning, the Padres got a boost from second baseman Mark Bellhorn. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Bellhorn saw a 2-2 changeup from Jamie Moyer and hit a 3-run home run to break the stalemate and put San Diego on top, 3-0.

"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Ramirez told the San Diego Today. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
