Padres Trip Expos in Extras
The San Diego Padres defeated the Montreal Expos, 6-5, at Jack Murphy Stadium today. Leading the charge for San Diego was shortstop Craig Grebeck. He went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. Losses have been few and far between for the Expos so far this season. Their record drops to 6-3.

Grebeck had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the tenth. On a 1-2 sinker from Mike Jeffcoat, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Padres a 6-5 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Grebeck.

"This place was rocking at the end," Grebeck said.
