Tibbs Dominant in Chicago Win
|
Chicago beat Texas at Comiskey Park, eking out a 2-1 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Jay Tibbs, who earned player of the game honors. Even with the win, the White Sox have a dismal 32-60 record.
In his 113-pitch effort, Tibbs allowed no earned runs on 5 hits over 8.1 innings. He walked 0 and struck out 7.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Tibbs.
