Charlotte Knights starter Kevin Tapani was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Chicago Cubs, 3-2. Chicago has now lost 4 in a row.
It could have been a different outcome for Charlotte, had it not been for David Segui, the 30-year old first baseman . Segui contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the eighth inning to put Charlotte up, 3-1.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Segui.
