The St. Louis Cardinals bested the Charlotte Knights, 3-2, at Comiskey Park. Ivan Calderon was named player of the game. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. St. Louis, now 6-4, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Dan Wilson had a nice at-bat for the Cardinals with two out in the top of the ninth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the catcher drew a walk, which would prove important in the St. Louis win.
