Hanson Finishes Off Expos
The Washington Senators got a rather unremarkable outing from starting pitcher Erik Hanson, but it was good enough for the club to take a 9-2 decision over the Montreal Expos. The Senators now have a record of 52-42 with the win over Montreal.

Hanson, who won the Rookie of the Year in 1988, pitched a complete game for Washington. Hanson surrendered 6 hits over 9 innings and struck out 11. With the win, he moves to 9-5 on the season.

Hanson pitched well, despite being a bit under the weather. "To be honest, I was sick before the game," he said. "Just a stomach bug."
