Senators Stymie Oakland, Take 4-1 Win
|
Washington left-hander Andy Pettitte made an effective start against the Oakland Athletics at RFK Stadium, leading his team to a 4-1 win. The Senators have an impressive 59-37 record.
With two out in the bottom of the second, Jason Kendall had a game-changing hit. The Senators catcher slammed a 2-run home run off Bobby M Jones, making the score 2-0, Washington.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Kendall said.
