Orioles Topple Giants with Late Rally
|
The Baltimore Orioles topped the San Francisco Giants, 4-1, in United League action at Candlestick Park. The player of the game was Baltimore pitcher and Tampa, Florida native Dwight Gooden. At 50-46, the Orioles are currently third in the United League East Division.
Brian L Hunter, who is tied for 5th in the UL in triples with 6, aided the Baltimore cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances.
