Pittsburgh Bats Go Silent in 2-0 Loss
|
The Chicago White Sox picked up a win at Three Rivers Stadium, knocking off the Pittsburgh Pirates, 2-0. Starting pitcher Bill Gullickson was an essential part of his team's success. Chicago is now 34-63, Pittsburgh 51-46.
An impactful at-bat came in the top of the fifth inning. With the bases empty, the batter, Kevin Reimer, hit a solo home run. It made the score 1-0, Chicago, and helped them go on to win.
