Twins Take Nail-Biter Over Reds
|
The Minnesota Twins picked up a win at Metrodome, knocking off the Cincinnati Reds, 5-4. On the mound for Minnesota was left-hander Chris Nabholz, who played a pivotal role in the win. Minnesota goes to 37-59, Cincinnati to 54-42.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Minnesota first baseman Frank Thomas, facing Arthur Rhodes, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Twins the 5-4 win.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Thomas.
