Pilots Get Close Win Over Senators
Seattle Pilots starter Randy Johnson was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Washington Senators, 6-2. Mike Henneman notched his 5th save in 7 chances. The Pilots bumped their record to 50-46 with this latest triumph.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Mickey Tettleton came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Washington pitcher Lee Smith, he hit a full count slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Seattle on top, 3-2.

"Today was a lot of fun," said Tettleton.
