Victory Over Dodgers Takes Montreal to 63-34
|
Montreal rode a fine outing from starter Roger Clemens to victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. The final score was 2-1. Clemens picked up the win for Montreal, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Ken Howell got the save, his 27th in 33 chances.
Montreal took the lead in the top of the fourth on a big hit from Travis Fryman. On a 2-2 slider from Lance Painter, Fryman hit a run-scoring single. That made it 1-0, Expos. For the day, Fryman went 2 for 4 with a double.
