Athletics Lose to Senators, 5-2
|
Washington and Oakland duked it out at RFK Stadium and the Senators came out victorious.
Vladimir Guerrero helped his team muscle past the Oakland Athletics, 5-2. In the game, the Washington right fielder was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Milt Hill got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.2 innings.
Jason Kendall helped the Washington cause with two out in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with the bases loaded and Washington leading 3-2, he hit a run-scoring single.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Guerrero.
Washington has now won 4 games in a row.
