The Baltimore Orioles and Arizona Diamondbacks cranked it up at Bank One Ballpark.

The Arizona Diamondbacks picked up a win at Bank One Ballpark, knocking off the Baltimore Orioles, 9-5. Starting pitcher Miguel Batista played a key role in the triumph. Arizona's record now stands at 51-49, placing them second in the United League West Division.

Lance Blankenship had a big 2-run double for the Diamondbacks in the bottom of the first inning. With Arizona leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Dwight Gooden and stroked the double to right. It was his 18th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Diamondbacks ahead, 3-0.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Batista.
