The Orlando Devil Rays topped the Chicago Cubs, 5-2, in Federal League action at Wrigley Field. The player of the game was Orlando pitcher and Oxnard, California native Eric King. King got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 3 over 8 innings. King allowed 2 earned runs. Orlando bumps their record to 52-47 with the win.
Jose Valentin tagged a home run off Brian Holman in the top of the second. His 2-run blast put the Devil Rays on top, 2-0. In all, Valentin had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
