Saenz Helps Mets Run Win Streak to 11
It was a good time at Shea Stadium, where fans came to watch the Seattle Pilots and New York Mets get after it.

Getting a good performance from designated hitter Olmedo Saenz, the New York Mets defeated the Seattle Pilots, 14-5. Saenz went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 for the Mets. This win makes it 11 in a row for New York.

Bret Boone was a prime factor in the win for the Mets. In the bottom of the second with two out, the former first round draft pick hit a 3-run home run. He went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"This team is real focused right now," said New York manager Michael Kritikos.
