Tigers Prove Rude Guests, Win 3-0 at San Francisco
|
The Tigers had to overcome a fine performance from San Francisco pitcher Omar Daal to grab a 3-0 win at Candlestick Park. Daal allowed 3 earned runs over 7 innings. The win was Scott Brown's in relief. His record improves to 2-5. Omar Daal took the loss for San Francisco. The slumping Giants have lost 7 straight.
Detroit took the lead in the top of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, Lenny Dykstra stroked a bases-clearing double to make it 3-0, Tigers.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said San Francisco manager Alen Maglajac.
