Blue Jays Prove Rude Guests, Win 7-4 at Seattle
|
The Toronto Blue Jays dealt the Seattle Pilots a 7-4 loss at Kingdome. Dante Bichette was the star on offense. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Blue Jays, at 56-45, sit in third place in the United League East Division.
The Blue Jays used some clutch hitting to beat the Pilots, a good example being the at-bat of Dean Palmer in the top of the sixth. With two down, Palmer gave his team the lead, 5-3, when he hit a 2-run double.
In postgame comments to the Toronto Observer, Bichette said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
