The Los Angeles Dodgers picked up a win at Tiger Stadium, knocking off the Detroit Tigers, 4-0. On the mound for Los Angeles was right-hander Aaron Sele, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Tigers, now 32-69, have lost 6 in a row.

Los Angeles used the timely hitting of Jeffrey Hammonds to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Dodgers on top, 4-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Julio Izquierdo. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
