Senators Top Rockies Behind Williams, 4-1
|
Washington used a superb performance from starting pitcher Woody Williams to down the Colorado Rockies, 4-1. Even with the win, the Senators have a dismal 31-70 record.
Williams, who dominated for Washington, earned the victory to move to 2-3. He was in control the whole game, scattering 4 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 5. Colorado batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"It feels good to get this one," Williams told the Washington Today.
