Senators Need Extra Frames to Get Past Giants
The San Francisco Giants went down to defeat to Andy Pettitte and his Washington teammates. The final score was 2-1 in favor of the Senators. The Senators improve their record to 55-46 with the win over San Francisco.

The Senators got an important contribution from third baseman Willie Greene, who in the bottom of the tenth hit a full count fastball into left for a run-scoring double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Senators ahead, 2-1.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Pettitte.
