Sosa Helps New York Cruise to 12-2 Win
The New York Mets downed the Colorado Rockies, 12-2, at Shea Stadium. Sammy Sosa led the way, going 4-for-5 for New York. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for New York.

Bret Boone, the 14th overall pick in the 1991 draft, helped out the New York cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a solo home run. For the game, the second baseman went 2 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said New York manager Michael Kritikos.
