Alomar Jr. Helps Giants Beat Tigers
The San Francisco Giants topped the Detroit Tigers by the score of 9-3, with the largest share of the credit going to catcher Sandy Alomar Jr.. Alomar Jr. was 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Giants. Floyd Youmans, the winner, improved to 8-7.
