Neagle, Royals Dispatch Reds
|
Denny Neagle never let the Reds get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his circle change, to pitch the Royals to a 5-1 win. Kansas City goes to 71-31. The win puts them 9½ games up in their division.
Neagle gave Kansas City a solid start. The left-hander, who is listed at 6' 2", 220 lbs, allowed 1 run on 5 hits over 9 innings.
"I liked his command," said Kansas City manager Daniel Drucker. "Denny was throwing strikes."
