The San Diego Padres got a rather unremarkable outing from starting pitcher Darryl Kile, but it was good enough for the club to take a 7-3 decision over the Baltimore Orioles. The Padres improve their record to 49-54 with the win over Baltimore.

Kile delivered a quality start for San Diego. The 6' 5" right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 8.1 innings of work.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Kile told the San Diego Today.
