Lee Stevens did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Boston Red Sox from losing, 7-3, to the Minnesota Twins at Metrodome. Stevens belted 2 home runs. Kevin Ritz got the win, improving to 7-9. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 12 and walking 1. With the win, Minnesota has a record of 45-58. In the bottom of the fifth inning of a 3-3 tie, Minnesota designated hitter Kal Daniels hit a 2-run home run. It broke the deadlock and put Minnesota on top, 5-3.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Daniels.
