Fordyce Helps Minnesota Cruise to 11-1 Win
With catcher Brook Fordyce leading the charge, the Minnesota Twins defeated the Orlando Devil Rays, 11-1, at Metrodome. Fordyce went 4-5 with 2 home runs and a double. He scored 4 times and drove in 8. The Twins raised their record to 49-54.

With Minnesota leading 3-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Fordyce hit a fastball from Andy Benes for a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Twins ahead, 7-0.

"Feels good to get the job done," Fordyce said after the game.
