Nieves Tosses Shutout Against Detroit
The Arizona Diamondbacks rolled to an easy 10-0 win over the Detroit Tigers at Tiger Stadium today. Leading the way to victory was starter Juan Nieves, who shackled the Detroit Tigers and held them scoreless on a 4-hitter.

"This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Nieves said in his postgame press conference.

On the season Nieves has compiled a 5-2 mark with a 3.09 ERA in 6 starts. In pitching 78.2 innings he has 75 strikeouts and 34 walks while limiting the opposition to a .173 batting average.
