|
San Francisco Giants starter Omar Daal was in fine form against the Detroit Tigers at Tiger Stadium, leading his team to a 3-2 win. Daal went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 10-6. Randy Myers was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 20 of 22 save opportunities.
With two out in the top of the ninth, Jay Bell had a game-changing hit. The Giants shortstop slammed a run-scoring single off Francisco Oliveras, making the score 3-0, San Francisco.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said San Francisco manager Alen Maglajac.
