Close Win Moves Dodgers to 47-58
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers got a good effort from starter Charles Nagy in defeating the Toronto Blue Jays at SkyDome. The final score was 3-2. Nagy got the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Nagy allowed 1 earned run. Scott Radinsky earned his 4th save in 5 chances.
Los Angeles used the timely hitting of Shawn Green to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put the Dodgers on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Los Angeles manager Andrew Cole.
Los Angeles is 5th in the United League West Division with a record of 47-58.
