Diamondbacks Beat Visiting Senators, 6-2
|
It was a good time at Bank One Ballpark, where fans came to watch the Washington Senators and Arizona Diamondbacks get after it.
Arizona Diamondbacks starter Omar Daal was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Washington Senators, 6-2. Arizona reliever Bryan Rekar picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Jim Neidlinger shouldered the loss.
Trailing 2-1, Arizona had a change of fortune in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when Robin Ventura sent a 2-2 fastball into the stands for a 2-run home run. The longball put the Diamondbacks on top, 3-2.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Ventura.
The Diamondbacks' win now puts them at 54-52.
