Victory Pushes Senators Record to 66-40
|
Washington third baseman Willie Greene was a significant contributor in his team's 6-5 triumph over the Arizona Diamondbacks. He was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Washington. Chad Ogea, the winner, improved to 3-1. He held the Diamondbacks to 4 earned runs on 6 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 2. Scott Ruskin notched his 1st save in 1 chances.
Greene had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 1-1 fastball from Marvin Freeman, he banged a grand slam home run to right-center, giving the Senators a 6-2 lead. It was the 26th home run of the year for Greene.
"Feels good to get the job done," Greene said after the game.
