Chicago first baseman Mike Piazza had a good game, even if his team did not. The Cubs dropped a 6-5 decision to New York at Yankee Stadium. Piazza was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. New York has now won 5 straight, while the Cubs have lost 5 in a row.

Darren Lewis contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat that propelled New York to the win.
