Streaking Cardinals Win Another One
St. Louis played host to Boston at the friendly confines of Busch Stadium.

St. Louis Cardinals starter Rene Arocha turned in an exceptional performance against the Boston Red Sox at Busch Stadium, resulting in a St. Louis win, 4-0. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for St. Louis.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the sixth inning, but Arocha was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Boston trailing 2-0, Arocha retired Mike Blowers, who lined out.
