Dominant Performance by King in Chicago Win
|
The Chicago Cubs picked up a win at Orlando Citrus Bowl, knocking off the Orlando Sun Rays, 4-0. Starting pitcher Eric King played a key role in the triumph. Tim Burke, credited with the save, is now 3 for 4 in save opportunities. The Cubs saw their record improve to 63-44.
King, now 12-6, scattered 2 hits over 7.1 innings for the Cubs.
"I liked his command," said Chicago manager Anthony Perez. "Eric was throwing strikes."
