Royals Win at Texas, 3-2
|
Kansas City starter Kevin Brown pitched effectively against the Texas Rangers at Arlington Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. Mike Stanton was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 32 of 35 save opportunities. The Royals have an impressive 86-23 record.
In the top of the first, Kansas City left fielder Jeff Conine had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 3rd and two out, Conine stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 3-0, Kansas City. For the game, he was 1 for 3 with a walk.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Brown.
