Spiders Get Road Win, 9-6
|
1997 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Boston Red Sox.
The Cleveland Spiders topped the Boston Red Sox, 9-6, in Federal League action at Fenway Park. The player of the game was Cleveland pitcher and Ridgewood, New Jersey native Bob Sebra. In 6 innings, Sebra surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. Steve Karsay, credited with the save, is now 24 for 36 in save opportunities.
