Ojeda Dazzles in Colorado Win
|
Colorado left-hander Bob Ojeda pitched his team to a shutout win, 2-0, over the San Diego Padres. Robb Nen was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 25 of 30 save opportunities. The Rockies saw their win-loss record go to 62-46. At the same time, the Padres fell to 36-74.
Ojeda, who was born in Los Angeles, California, threw 114 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing no earned runs.
"It's no secret that good defense follows around people who throw strikes," said Colorado manager JD Morris.
