Padres Win at Los Angeles, 8-1
|
Los Angeles had no answer for San Diego Padres starter Sean Bergman, who flummoxed Dodgers hitters as the Padres cruised to a 8-1 victory. The win puts the Padres at 49-59, while the Dodgers drop to 50-60.
San Diego used the clutch hitting of Manuel Lee to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Padres the lead, 3-1. For the game, Lee had 2 singles and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"We were firing on all cylinders today," said Padres manager Matt Dodds.
