Pilots center fielder Ken Griffey Jr. put his stamp on his team's 3-2 win over the San Diego Padres. Griffey Jr. hit 2 home runs for Seattle in the contest. The Pilots are now 49-61, while the Padres fall to 53-57.

Griffey Jr. came through with some timely hitting for Seattle. With the score 2-2 in the bottom of the fifth and no one down, Griffey Jr. hit a 1-1 fastball for a solo home run. His 36th home run of the season made it 3-2, Seattle.

"We put together a nice win," Griffey Jr. said.
