The Boston Red Sox stymied the Cleveland Spiders, 4-0, at Fenway Park. Barry Bonds, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for Boston. The Red Sox' win now puts them at 42-69.
