Gullickson Dominant in San Diego Win
|
The San Diego Padres did just enough to sneak past the Colorado Rockies, 1-0, at Jack Murphy Stadium. San Diego pitcher Bill Gullickson earned player of the game honors. The Padres now have a record of 53-58 with the win over Colorado.
The Rockies had trouble solving Gullickson, who surrendered no earned runs on 3 hits over 8 innings.
"I felt we were ready to go," said San Diego manager Matt Dodds. "Our pregame was pretty good."
