Pirates Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Yankees
Pittsburgh beat New York at Three Rivers Stadium, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Chris Nabholz, who earned player of the game honors. After today's action, Pittsburgh sits at 64-46, while New York falls to 45-67.

The Pirates got a lift from designated hitter Jeff King, who in the bottom of the eighth stroked a 2-1 fastball into left for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Pirates ahead, 5-4.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," New York manager Patrick McQuail said following the tough loss.
